OUR 2014 ROAD TRIP THROUGH 10 WESTERN STATES
Our goal was to escape the heat of Phoenix for a few weeks. After a 4 hour drive, the first stop was the top of Mount San Jacinto near Palm Springs and a cable car up 8,500 feet where it was about 25 degrees cooler. The park guides tried to convince us there was a short, easy hike around the observation and restaurant area. Kathy tried it, but Alex was unconvinced. Notice Alex taking a picture of Kathy beginning her trek. She returned after a very short while. This location provides a very nice, cool view of Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.
